A to Z Challenge – Letter W

Wolves, werewolves, and other beasts often make compelling characters in many high fantasy or urban fantasy stories. A WOLF is also an obvious word choice for the letter W.

If you had two wolves as companions on your magic-related travels, what would you call them?

  1. Yes, wolves and werewolves are common in fantasy stories, though I haven’t included either in my stories. Not sure what I’d name a wolf. I’d have to research it based on what the story was about.

I have loved wolves since I was a young girl. I played the wolf song for my daughter a few weeks ago and she started crying. It was so sweet.

  3. I wonder what the wolves would name themselves…

  4. Wolves are magnificent creatures. I’d name mine Nashoba (meaning wolf in Choctaw) and Ookami (meaning wolf in Japanese).

  5. ahtdoucette says:

I know it’s cliche, but I would love to have two wolves named Romulus and Remus like from the story. And they would be talking wolves and they would hate their names and maybe make up their own names instead. Mm, I love that story idea.

  6. Frédérique says:

I love wolves, and your cover is beautiful. The ones in Game of Thrones were big and beautiful too 😉
