It’s the first Wednesday of the month again, time for a post for the Insecure Writer’s Support Group.

This post is not about writing, but it is about reading, specifically reading ebooks, which we all produce when we self-publish. I have a kindle for reading ebooks, and recently, I bought myself a new kindle case. I wanted to protect my device, and I also wanted something pretty to look at. Here is the picture of my case closed.

I like the curly golden accents embossed into the case’s black faux leather. They make it look like a cute notebook. Truth to tell, it is not really a kindle case. It was advertised for Kobo e-readers, but it fits my kindle perfectly. I tried a dedicated kindle case, bought it on Amazon according to all the size specifications, but I couldn’t fit my kindle into it. I had to send it back.
This one has those corner rubbers you fit your device’s corners into, like an old photo album. I’m loving it. This is how it looks when I open it.

How about you? Do you use a dedicated case for your device? Is its appearance important to you?
That is a cool case. My iPad case is pretty basic.
No kindle here. I read e-books on the PC. Your case looks great.
That’s a really nice case. My iPad case is multi-colored and pretty.
Cool case. I downloaded Kindle to my phone and read books there instead of on a Kindle.
Love the case! I mostly read off my phone, but I’m thinking about getting a Kobo device soon 🙂
Love the new case!

I’m just not that sophisticated, Olga. I’m lucky of my Kindle even has a case. Good for you.
I like that Kindle case – If I ever buy a Kindle – or a similar device – a nice case will be a must, but still I read only paper books, as I like the feel and the smell.
I have a sleeve for my Kindle, but I should look at cases and find something cool like that one.
Oooh. Pretty!
What a beautiful case there! I have a rather plain one. Yours looks like a book cover.
I’ve never seen a Kindle case as beautiful! Nice one, Olga!
I don’t read ebooks. However, I’m sure to make my books available in electronic format for those many people who do use reader devices.
I am fussy with the covers to the print books that I read, especially older books. If a vintage edition of a book has poor artwork or depends too much on stock art that has very little relation to the story or stories inside, then I won’t purchase it. I’m a vintage book collecting nerd! Lol
The cover for your ereader is really nice, though! You made great choice.
Anything I use as much as my kindle gets a case right away. Like you, I treasure my fragile electronics. It doesn’t help that I’m a klutz. hehehe
I have a sturdy cover for my phone, otherwise I would’ve broken it ages ago. 😀
