This is the dual post for both my A-to-Z challenge and for WEP. First, A-to-Z, as it is much shorter. For the today’s letter R, the obvious selection for a speculative fiction writer would be the word ROBOT. The word … Continue reading
One can find a magic mirror featured in many a fantasy story or fairy tale. A number of those tales also include a QUEEN, which starts with the Q. Like in the cover below. Do you think she is a … Continue reading
The letter P is good for speculative fiction. So many words to choose from. I decided on two words: PENTAGRAM for fantasy and PLANET for sci-fi. Here is my cover for PENTAGRAM. I wonder why a pentagram has always been … Continue reading

The letter K begins one of my favorite words – a KEY. What does the word KEY mean to you? A computer key? A key to a house? A key to a soul?
The J is not a much-used letter to start a word. A small dictionary might use only a couple of pages for this letter. I went with a JUNGLE. Have you ever traveled through a jungle? On a sabertooth?
The letter I wasn’t easy for me, but eventually, I went with the word ISLAND. A floating island, to be precise, because, of course, there are floating islands in speculative fiction. Don’t you wish you lived on a floating island?
